Like others, my whole family was excited to use this app (together with the Mothershp app for parents). I spent many hours devising, tweaking, and adjusting the right chores, schedules, and rewards for my three oldest kids. While there were some features I would have liked to see, the app was imaginative, useful, and fun... at first. My kids were immediately hooked on the joy of working to accomplish these points and tickets, and it proved highly motivational... at first. After a couple weeks, the app suddenly showed chores as "overdue" which werent, and made apparent copies of chores for kids with minor scheduling differences, etc. This was frustrating, but I assumed it was a glitch and rolled up my sleeves, rebuilding all of the chores, schedules, rewards (with custom photos), and assignments. It was hours of work, but I hoped it would be worth it to keep my kids motivated and assumed the problem wasnt systemic. I was wrong. The next morning, all my time proved wasted as the same thing happened - a multiplication of overdue chores stretching into the last month. Though the app is free, theres a major time investment. At this point Im not willing to waste more time proving my insanity by doing the same thing but expecting different results. Sadly, I expect my kids will be quite disappointed with the inability of the app to do things done simply (but with less fun) on paper. If the developers are unable or unwilling to fix these bugs, they should remove the app from the App Store. Taking no action would be negligent and can only result in more loss of user time investment and more disappointed kids. Its very sad, because I would gladly have paid a premium for a working application. Its ultimately an excellent concept with major potential, but Im afraid I feel the need to warn other parents to avoid it for now as it will waste a significant amount of time and disappoint children who have worked hard to complete chores which keep popping up as "overdue".

This app is so helpful around the house and helps me track my childs chore schedule its fun and easy and kids love it too

ap just does not work, it gives registration error, then just wont let me sign in, and things of those nature..

This app works extremely well, helps motivate and its also very cute. I think you should add more messages on the child app and i there should be some other cute things to unlock that arent monsters cos not all kids are into monsters. also if you forget your password there should be a way to recover it i had to make a new account

My kids and I both love this app, its actually made them want to do chores. Its a really simple and easy to use format, and the monsters are really cute :)

I used this app a few years ago and it was amazing!! 10 out of 5 stars. I just recently downloaded the update and tried using it again and nothing is working. Took 2 hours just to add a child and a few chores. Then when we went to log in on my childs phone, I caouldnt even log in. After an hour of trying it finally let us log in but would load everything but the chores!!! Kept coming up with a connection error. Please fix this app!!!!!

My little and I adore the app very much ! Not only does he want to brush his teeth, floss, and so his chores - it helps immensely keep track of all his work ! Thank you very much!

I have tried numerous times to add a child or a chore, and app will not allow me to save data. In addition, it has crashed every time I try to edit my name

I would give this app 4 stars at least if they would make it work in landscape mode for the ipad. It is impossible to use this app if you have your ipad attached to a keyboard. The app is nice but the lack of landscape mode on the ipad has me ready to drop it for something that is probably not as nice just to get something that works in landscape mode. I can see only supporting portrait for the phone, but on the ipad portrait is just hard to use.

This app is great for throwing out the chore chart and actually getting kids to complete chores around the house.

I do this review as a list of the Pros and Cons. PROS: - Rewards have proven to be a much more than any allowance can achieve. - It has a higher focus on rewarding the child on behavior instead of using money to teach them. - The child sees rewards as a way more valuable source than a dollar amount. CONS: - It needs some form of balance to be integrated for the consequences. - It seems to be missing something more, but close.

Pros: My child loves doing her chores for points. She loves getting tickets to watch videos and spin for monsters. She loves sending little messages to me. It was time consuming, but not too difficult to add the chores. Cons: The app does not notify my child when I give her bonus points. The app does not allow me to send little messages to her. The app chores are customizable to a point - I am not able to add weekday only chores, for things such as homework, or emptying a backpack. If these things are improved, I will update and give a better review.

This app is amazing! It makes my kids want to do there chores

My child is complaining that they have all the monsters, 507 tickets all the movies, and nothing to spend them on.I recommend you add new monsters or something new in general, because they are not happy with just getting 10$.

I like the options this app offers. It gives my little some motivation to do the things he may not enjoy doing. However I do wish it still had the Apple Watch option for reminders to do your chores!

I am using this with all 3 of my sons age 6-12. I would love to see a few updates: A screen where I can see all options selected for each chore. I decided to edit from auto approve to manually approve and I had to edit 90 chores one at a time. A week day and weekend option for frequency. "Sort" chores by name, frequency, etc. on parent main screen. As I was editing, they jumped around after submit and then I had no idea which chores I had edited. Also on child screen, would love ability to number the chores so they do them in that order. If it was also an option for parents to chose how childs screen is sorted, that would be helpful.

My kids loved it but this app could do more than it does. They should ad a calendar and my. Kids did not want to do chores

When creating new account, shows error: "Check connections" and will not let me continue with registration process.

Weve been using chore monster for a while now. It is perfect for our needs!
